Fundraising

Your financial donation and/or your donation of time through volunteering makes a positive difference in your child’s experience at school.

Here is a partial list of ways in which we fundraise for Escondido School:

Escondido Direct Appeal
Our major fundraising vehicle is our Direct Appeal. We ask everyone to give whatever they can.  Please consider funding a specific need — such our Last Day Fair, books for the library, noon sports, etc. Hate writing checks?  You can pay online through PayPal by clicking the ‘Make a Donation’ box on the right of this page.

eScrip
Earn money for Escondido while you shop or dine!

eScrip is a fundraising resource where participating local and online businesses contribute a percentage of your purchases to Escondido PTA. It is free to you, completely safe and secure.  Just register your grocery loyalty card (e.g. Safeway Club card), credit or debit cards for use in the program. If you are already registered, remember to update or add new cards.

Bookfair
We run several English and Spanish language bookfairs over the school year.

Boxtops
Eat Cheerios?  Buy Ziploc bags?  Use toilet paper?  Check out this list of products that have boxtops!  Each boxtop is worth 10 cents.  Please bring  your boxtops to the Escondido office.

Partners in Education (PiE)

The Palo Alto educational community also raises money collectively through its Partners in Education (PiE) non-profit foundation.  Money raised by PiE can be used to support staff, which is not true of money raised by the PTA.  Escondido uses PiE money to support teachers’ aides and other staff that do much to enrich our students’ educational experience.
